Pat Ogden, PhD
Tracy Jarvis, MSc, UKCP
Join Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) founder and pioneer Dr. Pat Ogden, along with SP trainer Tracy Jarvis, MSc, for this comprehensive Master Class on complex trauma. This webinar will guide you step-by-step through the application of SP techniques to help those suffering from the terror of complex trauma, using detailed client scenarios of consultation clients with complex PTSD with Pat as the therapist.

You will witness the moment-to-moment interventions Pat uses, accompanied by real-time analysis from Dr. Pat Ogden and Tracy Jarvis on the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy approach used to help even the most challenging trauma clients.

Unlike many therapeutic approaches that focus on verbal narratives and cognitive processing, SP is not traditional "talk therapy." SP works directly with the body and addresses how internal experiences from trauma are organized. This approach directly challenges the chronic patterns fueling distress in complex trauma clients, offering a simple yet effective body-oriented method for treating trauma, acknowledging that trauma, first and foremost, resides in the body.

Here’s what you’ll learn:
-    How to work effectively with dissociative parts
-    How to use movement and posture of the body to stabilize the most difficult of clients
-    How to work with a variety of actions drawing on the therapeutic relationship to process the effects of trauma.
If you’re a therapist or counsellor who is seeking to expand your clinical approach with innovative body based techniques and case conceptualization, this free event is tailor-made for you!

We welcome psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, body workers, counsellors, allied mental health professionals, and health & wellbeing professionals.
Join us free and you'll discover how to:
  • Draw on the body to nurture confidence and regulation instead of “talk about.”
  • Study the organization of present experience rather than talk therapy approaches.
  • Elicit the inherent wisdom of the body to heal from trauma.

Why Sensorimotor Psychotherapy?
Trauma first and foremost leaves its imprint on the body, yet for many reasons, the body has historically been omitted from therapeutic inquiry. SP can help clients learn to draw upon the wisdom of the body to release the debilitation effects of trauma and develop somatic resources that help them engage more fully in their lives and relationships.
