6–Part Series | Meets on Fridays
9:00 am - 11:00 am Central Time

hosted by SP Trainer, Lisa Johnson Taylor, MA, LP

Do SP skills sometimes feel a little out of reach, or do interventions not always arrive in the moment you’d like them to?
Perhaps the ideas are present, yet something seems to get in the way of offering particular experiments?

Lisa Johnson Taylor, MA, LP, (she, her, hers) is a Licensed Psychologist who has practiced in the mental health field for over 30 years. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of capacities (including school based day treatment, in home family therapy, intensive outpatient programs, and mental health clinics).

In 2005, Lisa found her passion as she stumbled upon the powerful transformation that unfolds integrating Sensorimotor Psychotherapy into groups. She continues to co-facilitate experiences to collectively access the wisdom of the body leading her Trauma Skills groups as well as experimenting with Restorative workshops for Therapists.

Although SP primarily informs her work, she synthesizes aspects of IFS, ART, AIR Network, spirituality, nature based healing and other somatic based inquiry. Lisa is committed to an ongoing mindful study of how her cis- gendered white body privilege impacts all those she intersects with.

Learn More About Level 2: SP for Developmental & Relational Injury

In Sensorimotor Psychotherapy's Level 2 training, we focus on developmental and relational injury, recognizing how early adversity, attachment disruption, and sociocultural factors shape the body, emotions, and beliefs. Through the integration of bottom-up and top-down approaches, participants learn to recognize adaptive strategies, work with various aspects of themselves, and utilize the therapeutic relationship as a pathway for repair. The L2 training offers principles, maps, and practices to help clients make meaning from implicit memory, deepen relational resources, and transform painful emotions within a broader personal, cultural, and collective context.  Learn More About Level 2 and Apply Today >

Learn More About Level 3: Advanced Integrative Training in SP

Both the Skills Consolidation parts of the course are online, self-directed, self-paced components that support the consolidation of knowledge and skills introduced in the two basic SP courses for trauma and developmental work to prepare the learner for certification in SP. The SCT consists of 13 basic skills units, and SCD consists of 16 basic skills units, which guide the learner from SP Foundations through Essential Skills to the Five Stages of the Process. Building on the basic information and initial practice of skills application from the L1- Trauma and L2-Developmental trainings, the student will see new presentations from Pat Ogden and other SPI Faculty, review clinical application video content, participate in small group discussions, and complete self-directed learning activities using interactive media and provided worksheets to consolidate past learning and refine existing skills for Certification in SP.   Learn More About Level 3 >
