Dr. Sajedeh Zahraei, PhD, MSW, RSW, has over 28 years of professional practice experience in a variety of mental health and non-profit settings, including 20 years of work experience at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She is the founder of Saleemeh Wellness Centre for Women, where she provides holistic psychotherapy, group counselling, wellness activities, workshops and consulting services to organizations. She is an experienced registered social worker, certified yoga teacher and a certified hike leader. She holds an MSW and PhD in Social Work from the University of Toronto and has specialized training in mindfulness-based, body-based integrative approaches to trauma-focused therapy including Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST). Her research interests include social determinants of immigrant and refugee mental health, women, war, structural violence and trauma.
