Hi there, thanks for visiting! I'm a Social Worker/Psychotherapist who supports people build mind-body resiliency during challenging life transitions located in Takaronto, Canada. As a body-oriented, trauma-informed psychotherapist, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 1 for Trauma themes deepened and transformed the way I practice with clients.
I believe healing is a journey of reconnecting with and rediscovering all of our parts, through radical self-compassion, and acceptance of the complexity of being human. I work with clients who have a history of developmental or attachment trauma and are seeking to better understand their moods and emotions, process and cope with loss and life transitions, and build healthier relationships. Our work focuses on the present moment, identifying how past experiences impact our nervous system and our beliefs, and we use the wisdom of the body to create change and transformation.
I draws upon my lived experience as a cis-gendered, South Asian immigrant-settler female, and am informed by feminist, intersectional, harm reduction principles and practices. I have over 15 years experience in community health, working to improve the health and wellbeing of racialized and newcomer populations and equity-seeking groups and I bring this understanding of health equity to my clinical social work practice.
Outside of work, I like to paint, dream up travel adventures, offer Reiki healing to community and spend time with my pup.
