I am Mindfulness Counsellor, Consultant and Clinical Educator. I have 25 years of anti-oppression experience in front line counselling, group facilitation, program design, and curriculum development serving marginalized communities in educational, community health, and social service settings. An integration of my professional experience, academic knowledge, 14-year daily mindfulness practice and study, and lived experience as a Chinese-Taiwanese trans-identified settler supports my understanding of how cultural violence (systemic, institutional, familial) impacts our wellness. And informs the liberatory, land, and body-based mindfulness work I offer.
As a Mindfulness Counsellor, my intention is to meet you gently, where ever you're at. From there, I approach the issues and topics you'd like to work on with respect and compassion. Together, we figure out wise and kind pathways through the challenges or questions you may be asking.
Mindfulness can encourage us to reclaim our lives and intuition, prevent further fragmentation of who we are, and has potential to liberate our hearts. My mindfulness approach is trauma-informed and grounded in social justice/anti-oppression understanding.
