I am a clinical social worker who operates separately from both the insurance system and the symptom-focused medical model so that you - with your full humanity - are the only priority in therapy. I specialize in the treatment of complex and layered trauma which is grounded in my understanding of complex neurobiological systems and processes. I understand that trauma wounds are often relational and moral in nature and that treatment must simultaneously focus on integrating one’s body, brain, relationships, and values in a safe, measured way. In addition to Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, I am also trained in Deep Brain Reorienting.
While I do bring experience and skill to this work, I am deeply aware that you carry experience, skill, and wisdom with you. I am committed to being curious, non-judgmental, and humble as you explore your own organic ways of connecting with yourself, others, and the world around you.
I believe that each person enters the world with inherent dignity and value. I approach this work through a justice-based lens and work with the body and brain using gentle therapeutic techniques to confront the impact of systems of oppression, injustice, and dehumanization.
