Chris Pye is a Counsellor and Pschotherapist who is passionate about supporting couples and individuals to heall from attachment wounds and developmental trauma. He identifies as a Cisgender Queer person who is experienced and at home working with clients of all genders, sexual orientations and relationship structures.

Chris has worked through historical experiences of attention deficit, hyperactivity and obsessive-compulsive behaviours, as a result of childhood attachment trauma. Today Chris and his husband are the parents of two children who are Neuro-Divergent.

As a white, middle-class Cisgender male, Chris acknowledges the significant social privilege that allows him to
enjoy relative safety, comfort and confidence in the negotiation of his social and professional positions. He strives
to use his relative power and influence to initiate and facilitate conversations about social inequities and the
importance of positive social change. Chris incorporates into his practice a commitment to Pro-Feminist, Anti-
Racist and Anti-Oppressive principles and practices.

Chris lives and works on the lands of the Yuggera and Turrbal Peoples. He acknowledges the enormous ongoing
contribution of First Nations Australians, despite the davastating impacts on their cultures, communities, and
intergenerational health and wellbeing, as a result of European colonisation.
