Jennifer Kindt, LLP

I'm Jen and began my journey in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy in 2014. I have always had an interest in working with older adolescents and emerging adults (16 to 28), and over the past 5 years have enjoyed expanding my practice to include middle and advanced adulthood as well. It has been humbling to support people in their journey when incorporating the wisdom of body centered psychotherapy. Anxiety and depression spectrum issues have been consistent themes of clients since beginning working with clients in 1998. The addition of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy has allowed many clients with histories of traumatic experiences grow and heal. Whether individual's experiences have been through a single incidence or through lifelong stressors or traumas, we can understand our bodies' development of strategies to cope and our inherent capacity to know what is needed to heal.
I tend to see clients who struggle with Anxiety, Depression, Divorce, Gender Identity, Grief, Life Transitions, Self Confidence and Self Esteem, Sexual Issues, Sleep Problems and Insomnia, Stress and PTSD, and Gender Specific Issues.
It has been an exciting step to open my own practice, Body Centered Psychotherapeutics PLLC and it is a gift to continue growing in our community of Kalamazoo, MI.
