Hello, my name is Katya! I am a trauma-focused psychotherapist who is passionate about integrating body awareness and somatic processing to help clients heal from the lasting effects of trauma. My work is rooted in a deep understanding of how trauma is stored in the body, and I strive to create a safe, compassionate space where clients can reconnect with themselves and move toward healing.
As a Program Therapist at Clearview Treatment Programs in Los Angeles, I facilitate individual, group, and family therapy with a trauma-informed focus. I have developed and led trauma psychoeducation groups that empower clients to understand and manage their symptoms, integrating body-based techniques that go beyond traditional talk therapy. My training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 1) allows me to help clients process trauma in a regulated, mindful way, addressing both the emotional and physiological impacts.
In addition to my work at Clearview, I provide crisis intervention at The Rape Treatment Center at UCLA, supporting survivors of sexual assault. My background includes community organizing and research on trauma among asylum seekers, reinforcing my deep understanding of the intersection between trauma, mental health, and systemic inequality.
I bring a culturally competent and holistic approach to therapy. My goal is to help each client feel safe, empowered, and fully supported as they embark on their journey towards healing.
