Kristen Horvath-Broda, M.Ed, LPCC-S, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisor Designation. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Psychology from Heidelberg University and her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. She has over 10 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and their families.
Kristen understands the value of not just being a trauma-informed clinician, but a trauma-skilled clinician. Her postgraduate education includes being trained in EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and SMARTmoves. Kristen is a Polyvagal Theory informed clinician who believes that trauma impacts our minds, spirit, and bodies. She believes that a combination of cognitive and somatic modalities can help a client to move through and heal from their traumatic experiences.
