I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I have over 20 years of clinical experience working with people coping with depression, anxiety, trauma, and attachment issues. Currently, I treat people coping with stress, loss, and health issues related to the COVID 19 Virus.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is the primary modality I use in treating trauma patients. I am a Certified Sensorimotor Psychologist (SP) and an Approved Sensorimotor Consultant. I have assisted in many Level 1 and 2 Trainings, and I continue to do so via Virtual Learning.
In 2006 I attended an annual Attachment conference at UCLA in Los Angeles, and when I heard Pat Ogden speak about trauma I felt that she had invaluable information, and I knew I needed to begin learning somatic and sensorimotor therapy with her. I stay intimately involved with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute and am in contact with alumni and new students.
I live in Los Angeles with my husband, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. My 2 grown sons are both working musicians. I grew up in Chicago with a very musical and artistic family. My family plus 14 years at Francis W. Parker School laid the foundation for my love of art and music. I often integrate art and SP with patients. I love spending time hiking, painting, reading, meditation, travel, and continuing Spanish lessons. My vegetable garden is well established and keeps me busy along with painting. I am providing individual and group Sessions.
