I have been a therapist for 30+ years working with adults struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, sexual abuse, and relationship issues. By using Sensorimotor Psychotherapy it is possible to reach somatically based symptoms, commonly associated with life stressors. My approach is a blend of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, & IFS.
I completed my PhD at the Smith College School of Social Work, writing my dissertation on bereavement associated with September 11th. Later, I pursued further training at the Columbia Center for Prolonged Grief, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems and earned my certification as an EMDR practioner.
I use a flexible approach working to match therapy with the individual needs and preferences of each client.
