Susan Wendelborg, LCSW

Hello! I’m Susan Wendelborg (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Oregon, Illinois) with over 25 years’ experience as a clinician working with adults in a variety of settings and 7 years’ experience as a clinical trainer and consultant. I am a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist and Approved Consultant, as well as an EMDR Trainer & Consultant.

My experience as a student of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy has been transformative. I continue to deepen into Sensorimotor Psychotherapy principles, and enjoy exploring the intersection of psychotherapy, spirituality, and science. I am committed to the practice of Somatic Abolitionism in community with others to transform harmful patterns and legacies of oppression.

I offer clinical services, consultation, and NBCC-credited workshops to individuals and groups in-person and online. Some of these include Sensorimotor experiential consultation and individual and group consultation. My intention is to offer a solid and clear understanding of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy model grounded in the principles of non-violence, unity, organicity, and relational alchemy.

In addition to Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and EMDR Therapy, I am also Level 2 trained in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) and Level 1 trained in Coherence Therapy and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST).
