Aicha Brogan is a Gestalt Psychotherapist, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and trained in EMDR with a Masters in Counsellling.
Her ongoing trainings include: Neuroaffective Touch, Integral Somatic Psychotherapy, Sensiormotor Psychotherapy, Somatic Resilience and Regulation, DARE. She has studied PVT, parts work and attachment, mindfulness practices that support interoception, and has a strong interest in working with and supporting regulation.
Aicha has an insatiable thirst for learning about trauma and regulation, and brings that that her work, alongside her belief in the innate healing that is possible with the right conditons for the individual. She has a strong interest in complex/developmental/relational trauma, as well as shock trauma, experiences of anxiety, depression and of chronic illness, grief or dysregulation. Her intention is to meet you where you are at, and to provide a safe holding environment in which to touch into that that is painful.
Having spent twentyish years providing long term therapy to non-for-profits Aicha currently runs her own private practice in the sweet riverside town of Warburton and online.
A Clinical member of PACFA, a former Council member of GANZ (Gestalt Australia and New Zealand), former editor of GANZ newsletter, former member of PACFA's Gestalt Psychotherapy Leadership Committee and former Board Member of The Wellspring, she is deeply committed to the growth of somatic and psychotherapeutic practices in Australasia.
