Details
I offer holistic, relational, trauma informed, person-centered counselling services to children, youth, adults, parents and expectant parents (pregnancy, postpartum). My approach considers the essential role of the nervous system and is grounded in sensorimotor psychotherapy (somatic), attachment theory, neuroscience, mindfulness, emotion focused therapy, CBT, DBT, expressive arts and play therapy. I have over 20 years experience working with individuals and families in community based child and family services programs and 12 years as a counsellor, where I have worked for Child and Youth Mental Health and in private practice.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), adhering to their ethical standards. I hold a Master’s in Counselling from City University of Seattle (2012) and pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest evidence-based practices.
I specialize in supporting clients through pregnancy/postpartum, parenting, women’s health, transitions to adulthood, post-secondary education, and children/youth. My approach helps clients process emotions, build self-awareness, enhance confidence, and develop effective strategies for navigating life’s challenges.
