I believe that therapy is a tool for individual and collective liberation from oppression, and that the survival strategies and sources of resilience that have allowed you to reach this point in your life are incredible innate strengths. I take a collaborative approach in integrating several styles of therapy to ensure that our work is most helpful to you. I enjoy working with folks who are new to therapy, as well as folks who have found that "just talking" in therapy in the past hasn't felt helpful. My approach is informed by neuroscientific, feminist, multicultural, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, and somatic (body-based) practices of therapy. I recognize that our identities and histories in the context of social oppression and privilege are integral aspects of our wellness and healing process. I am in an ongoing practice of decolonizing my approach to therapy and welcome clients to bring traditional, ancestral, and spiritual healing practices authentic to them into our therapy work.
