My professional formation includes Integrative Arts Psychotherapy, Humanistic Counselling, and years of body-centred therapeutic approaches for wellbeing and more recently for trauma processing: Relational Trauma Therapy (Level 2), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 1) and Somatic Experiencing (Level 1). I am a qualified Bioenergetics teacher and in addition to psychotherapy I offer sessions of trauma-informed somatic practice aimed at helping clients find greater freedom of expression and sense of safety in their body. My work is informed by the following psychotherapeutic approaches: Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Attachment Theory, Object Relations, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Integrative Arts, Janina Fisher Structural Dissociation Model, Internal Family System, Family Constellations, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Relational Trauma Therapy, Embodied Relational Therapy, and Deep Bodywork. I work in a trauma-informed way and I am committed to helping my clients understand the role of the nervous system in their overall wellbeing, in line with the Polyvagal Theory by Steven Porges. The way I practise is at its core relational and all I offer is tailored around each individual's unique needs and consequent to their agreement. Taking a collaborative stance, my aim is to empower my clients as much as possible. For this reason I will at times offer psychoeducation and share resources and skills to foster your independence.
