I am working towards becoming a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC). I am currently a pre-licensed therapist. Most of my experience in the field has been in helping victims and survivors who have sustained or are currently sustaining intimate partner violence (IPV), as well as anyone who struggles with trauma, abuse, and various mental health conditions. A large chunk of my experiences, post-degree, have been in helping sexually exploited youth, as well as adults who have sustained domestic violence, sexual violence, human and sex trafficking. I have worked primarily with complex trauma, childhood trauma, and ongoing trauma. I have taken trainings and webinars in somatic experiencing therapy and sensorimotor psychotherapy. I have also obtained some courses in dance and movement therapy. I use a client-centered, whole-person approach, along with the implementation of holistic care and polyvagal theory. I would say that I use an integrative approach, pulling from a few different modalities. My main modalities used in therapy are trauma-informed, relational, body-based, and movement-oriented. I do like to pull from internal family systems, otherwise known as parts work, as well. I use dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques and approaches at times as well, in helping to stabilize clients who are seeking skills work specifically. I identify as a Christian and love helping clients to deepen and further explore their faith, if desired. I am here as a guide.
