Relationships are an integral part of life and of wellbeing. I’ve been working in my communities doing activism and advocacy work for 15 years and have worked as an individual therapist for almost 10 years. Every person that I work with is part of a larger community, as well as broader macro level systems they cannot be extricated from. Our wellbeing is intertwined. Oftentimes I work with clients who have trauma histories that continue to impact their ability to be present and build connection and joy in their lives. Whether someone struggles to make connections with others or struggles to identify and advocate for their own needs, I love working with clients to understand how their experiences continue to impact them in their daily lives. An integral piece of this work is connecting physical symptoms to emotional experiences. I have long been interested in the ways that somatic experiences reflect trauma and stressors and am excited to have completed the Level 1 accreditation in Sensorimotor Therapy. I'm passionate about integrating somatic awareness and integration into healing processes.
