Somatic work aims to bring an individual into embodied experiences of their full reality so that they can feel change. In talk therapy, words are used as the primary material to “unpack” the emotional aspects of a person’s experience. I use both words and connect to sensory, emotional and creative explorations to support the goals you are working towards. I support individuals through embodied approaches to psychotherapy centred in somatics and dance/movement therapy (DMT).
Individual histories of mental health are connected by experiences of racism, classism, sexism and other forms of oppression. I strive to integrate an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed practice through constant education and receiving quality mentorship so I may serve the diverse needs of my clients.
You have a right to feel the safety and internal nourishment offered in your body. Through our sessions, I will work with you to strengthen the mind-body connections to achieve your desired goals.
