I have worked as a Counselor/Psychotherapist for over twenty years in both private practice and health care settings. My childhood trauma has been my guide and teacher. I believe when client and therapist are in resonant contact a felt sense of their connection creates the atmosphere within which healing takes place.  I aim to be a facilitator of assisted self-discovery for the client.  The relationship is the catalyst that facilitates change, understanding and growth. Over the years I have participated in trainings at Landmark Education N.Y., in tantra yoga, I practiced buddhism for many years, participated in family constellations work, and trained with Dr. Stephanie Mines in the TARA approach for the resolution of trauma and shock. I worked in a domestic violence project for nine years, facilitated the suicide bereaved, women's groups, self esteem building, personal growth and inner child workshops. My initial training was in person centered counseling, followed by a post grad in gestalt psychotherapy, a cert in cognitive behavioural therapy psych-k and emotional freedom technique. The icing on the cake has been the sensorimotor psychotherapy training, "because words are not enought."
My orientation is holistic and is influenced by Eastern philosophy healing modalities, by the natural world, and my own growth journey. We all have the infinite potential within and with support, we can access our own innate wisdom, effecting change in our circumstances and in our lives.
